Thre great cars depends what you want.Biggest thing to check is crash damage as loads have crashed in the past.

Check for missing black tabs either side in the middle bumper grill, usually a first tell tale sign of a new bumper!!!

Ive had a few niggly probs with mine, but if its possible try and get one thats still under warranty so if anything does pop up it will be covered.

True say, but I said usually and all the cups I looked at that I questioned about the lack of black tabs had had a bumper replacement.

Agreed! Although damage isnt always too bad as long as its been repaired properly.
O yes I well agree but its a good bargining tool and I've seen some right bodged repairs just to make the car straight ish to sell on.

but is reliability an issue???? i here there capable but pricey with repairs etc...
Ther no more than a 172 with ABS etc its just more of them crash so insurance can be more expeonsive it depends sometimes cups cost less as when there written off there not deamed as worth as much.
One insurance company I know had 10% of the Cups insured with themselves written off in the year they were insured that a huge amount of cars.

I've had mine for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I've had no problems whatsoever apart from my wing mirror falling off today, but I managed to fix that.. (see the thread. lol)

The things I don't like about my Cup is the clutch is a bit 'creaky' and it's not as 'fluid' as it should be, but I haven't tried anything for this yet, so can't moan too much.

The fans in the cabin cover every part of the car except the square foot that contains your face (this has annoyed me today, as the aircon wasn't hitting me at all)

The steering wheel is slightly too big, but to be honest I don't notice it now, you've just got to get used to it.

And the wipers need a setting in between 1 + 2.. Sometimes 1 is too slow and 2 is too fast.

Apart from that I love it.. You'll have loads of fun driving it. Brakes are good, watch out in the wet (no abs). I wouldn't swap it for a full fat 172 now I've actually owned one. So yeah, go buy one.

My advice would be to try and track down one with climate control. It's a great extra to have on the Cup. ;) You'll need to find a 53 plate one tho, don't think it was offered before then.

Its strange. Just like the front splitters... SOme didnt even have them fitted... Mine was one of the very first though, so it does have a couple of little differences...
