you don't need to mod your car to beat a CTR, just introduce a corner to the equation. I've had a do with one down country lanes and pulled away easily in the corners.

Yeah i understand that, i mean in straight line terms aswell, please dont tell me should of bought this blah blah, i owned a 220 bhp ibiza which was plently quick enough on the straight but lacked the cornering so i had a clio, i was just wandering how to make it quicker. For example

Say you have a standard clio 182, and 1k cash, what would give you the most gains..

as S77CCP says, around 180ish for those, so you'd keep a CTR honest, but they will still pan you top end. If they have similar breathing mods forget it though!

As for the maps, they are off the shelf, a lot of places do them and they are much of a muchness, it's pretty generic. Even a live map probably wont yield much more power tbh, so worth going for. Can always get it mapped again if you go mod crazy

1) What make & model will this work on?
All fuel injected petrol cars including turbo & super charged engines (universal fitment).

2) Will it work on a diesel engine?
Unfortunately it won't work on a diesel engine sorry.

3) Will it affect my MPG?
In tests we have found that it is possible to get up to an extra 60 miles from a full tank of petrol. The tests were based on a standard spec Peugeot 106 1.6 GTI & Honda Civic 1.6 CRX. As an average the mpg is usually better or stays the same.

4) I have an induction kit and/or performance exhaust-will it fit?
Yes and it will work well!

5) I have a 'chip' fitted to my car-will it still work?
We have been carrying out tests over the recent months and found that the module will work when used together with a 'chip'.

6) If I want to remove it can it easily be removed without trace?

Apart from these cars other cars have been fitted with these boxes but no rolling road test has yet been carried out.

The modification is designed to directly compete with the more expensive performance remapping systems, power programmers and upgrade chips, but a significantly reduced cost. You can expect to pay anything from £250-£400 for a full ECU remap service. This practically does the same thing at a fraction of the cost and for a similar power gain. Our '+15BHP' Power Modules are plugged in between one of your car's sensors and the ECU. This is also known as a 'piggy back' device as it is external to the main processing unit. Fitting instructions are included on the reverse of the card and no special tools are needed for installation you simply plug the module in. Usually takes between 5-10 minutes to install at the most.​

How does it work?
It will modify any standard ECU by telling the ECU that the incoming air in the intake system is cold and so advances the ignition by up to 2 degrees with more fuelling to compensate, therefore producing more power. In many cases fuel economy is increased too. Power is increased by up to 15BHP and torque is increased significantly.

are CTRs really quicker otha than at top end? i shouldnt think the new shapes power to weight is as much as a 182? im sure i saw a website (letstorquebhp i think it was) that said the 182 was quicker 0-60 and over a 1/4. neva driven 1 otha than at very slow speed so couldn't compare.

for reference i ran 186 with Maxogen, zorst, decat, map, inlets. So... 180ish sounds about rite.

If hes starting with a 182 to begin with, I would say approx 10 bhp total for that lot. The remap will make things more driveable low down.

Are GDI the best to go for a remap ? Im in birmingham but willing to travel 100 miles out of there for it to be done by the best thats what i want really im happy with the speed after 5k, but below that its a bit dire but then im used to 270 ft lb torque :|
