Nah a 30% tint is darker than a 20%, a 30% tint should allow 70% of light through, a 20% tint would allow 80% light through.

But your glass is already tinted, so chances are if you put 20% tints on your actually nearer 30%

ok guys, your confusing me.

i always thought 30% tint = 70% light going through. there seems to be conflicting understandings of this....whats the final answer??

i didnt know 22% was legal limit....thought back windows and rearscreen can be anything & fronts only up t a certain % ...think 30% no??

..but when i went in to get my tints done........lookin on the wall of tint examples.........20% was DARK.......and its a 20% on my back window. 50% was the lightest one on the demo shelf??

The tints must allow 70% of light through the windows. Thats TOTAL. Any less than this figure and a PG9 will be slapped on the car. Th elight can be measured by a light reading device which is carried by Road Safety Officers.

Cheers
