What do you think to these alloys??

  A Fcukin Car
Hiya,

Just wanting a bit of advice really I have got these 17's on my Clio at the moment and can't make my mind up if I like em or not. The make my car look massive but I can't have it lowered at the moment cos it will affect my warranty. I don't know whether to sell these and get some 16's on or keep em?

What do ya think??

Hi m8,

What makes you think it will affect the warranty?

My car has got coils, exhaust, alloys, buckets, roll cage & some engine work done and I've still got valid warranty on it.

Obviously if you change anything on the car, that part changed from factory standard will not be covered by warranty.

They're not too bad, would look good with some Renault wheels on, 16" cup or trophy alloys or similar.

Lowering shouldn't void your warranty.

i've tried to get work done on my car with coils, moderate engine, etc and they wont touch it, mainly because of the coilovers (somehow they can relate almost everything to a car being lowered, sunroof creaking, exhaust breaking etc etc) however if you can physically prove that the fault is nothing to do with the modification its fine, as subway says. Warrantys arent worth the paper they're written on half the time anyhow. If you lower it, it cannot effect your engine waranty which is the most important part however.

To be honest 17s always look a bit daft if the car isnt lowered, either reduce the wheel size to 16/15 or get it lowered. Should have to many problems with a suspension kit thats TUV approved to be honest.

I doubt they will complain but if say, your wheel bearings went, they could blame the wheels and not cover it. They won't void the whole car. It's not like they could blame your wheels if your engine blew up!

Personally i think those wheels are common and a bit cheap looking now. Loads of fakes came out when that OZ Vela was released.

You are welcome to use my 15's sell your 17's and when you get money for them buy some 16's, personnally I think they are too big your car is about a foot taller than mine
