what does your hybrid/williams rev out at?

Car  mk1 phase 2 hybrid :-)
my hybrid revs out at about 6400-6600 not quite sure but i thought isnt it a bit low ? my old valver revs out at 7200???
 
the 2.0 liter has a lower rev limit than 1.8 16v because is has a longer throw on the crank

the std williams limits @ 6400 mate,with a re map you will hit 6900 usually,but i wouldnt suggest going any higher. my 1st valver revved to 7700 with a hill power re map lol

my old hybrid was still making power @ 6800,so its worth the higher limit,imo of course

And if it did, why would you set your limiter beyond that?
 
yeah on stock internals I wouldnt want to push one past that. I usually set soft-cut at 7300. Crank is fine, its the rods/bolts i worry about mainly.
The thing is, unless youve got stupid-ish cams, you wont be making power there, making it pretty pointless in terms of performance.

I think RS quote 8000 as safe limit for pistons, that may not be continious though, but i cant find the bloody cd to verify that.

so where is the best place to get a remap/chip/limiter raised? i dont want to go to high just seems that it revs out to early!
 
id say hill power mate,nick hill built that engine and mapped both my 1.8 16v and my hybrid,and with swapping ecu'sd bk and forth with my mates std willy ecu (both had same mods) made such a difference so most def hill power, www.hillpower.co.uk tell him russell sent ya lol

best thing is to ring nick and speak to him about whats best for you mate,as he sells a few different ones,i will stake my namestake on his work mate,you wont be disapointed!
 
cheers russ, have had a problem today revsered over a manhole snapped my down pipe off the flange and have a bad oil leak around the starter motor and dont no where it is coming from!
 
mines set at a soft cut at 7100 on the std inlet, bout 8k on the bodies. both with std internals.




and i likes me limiter ;)
