What exhaust shall I buy for my RB 182 cup?

  clio 172 cup
Hey guys my exhaust has just died on my 182 cup so I thought I might aswell buy a stainless steel one. I use my car for work though so it cant be loud! Can anyone recommend an exhaust?

Thanks in advance!

I was in this same situation around 3 weeks ago. I bought a Milltek with decat. Its not too loud and is perfect for anyone who has to drive their car for a prolonged period of time.

I was also looking at the Janspeed which to me seems alot like the same thing. Milltek has 2 backboxes where as the Janspeed has only one. That will give you a slight weight saving if your bothered about every pound!!

Had a 172 Yozza race system but they make a similar one for the 182. Is an awesome exhaust and i know that there are alot of satisfied owners with them. Steer clear of the Blueflame and Magnex.

If your budget will stretch then i would look at a superprint for £1200!!!ahahaha

If it can't be too noisey, Milltek. Well built, sounds nice, won't wake local wildlife.

+1

And if you ever want more noise you can remove the centre box. As no doubt Christopher will be only too quick to come along and tell you :rasp:

Where does Magnex get its bad reputation from fellas?

My 182 came with one fitted and i'm really happy with it, well fitted, seems well made with neat welding underneath and makes a well rounded sound... has there been some dodgy ones in the past then? Am I right in thinking they have gone under? That probably speaks volumes itself!

I've seen and used a few magnex exhuasts in the past and they've all been excellent. Not really sure on the reason they've gone under, but I bet that has a lot to do with them getting a bad name. Sometimes people comment on things without have the knowledge to comment on them.

Are their 182 exhausts poor? if so in what way?

Congrats!!

Magnex has been really boomy in the examples i have heard. Am gonna change the centre section in mine in a couple of weeks but as it stands its awesome!!perfect for the motorway. Maybe next year get a yozza. am still really temped.

Yozza sounds awsome. Eryl182 took me out in his at a manchester meet a couple of months ago, sounded awsome in and out of the car, his also had a decat it was LOUD!

Will i get one when i get a 1*2 99% :)

I can vouch for the quality of the Scorpion RS192 system and is not loud or boomy and wasn't too difficult to fit. I did a guide on hosted on another clio site.

I put the Janspeed on mine, not loud and good price. (got it off Janspeed direct on ebay and made an offer on the price).
