WHAT EXHAUST SUITS 172 BEST ? ?

I'm away to get a Powerflow full stainless system fitted to my 172 in the next few weeks possibly with de-cat :)

What kinda tailpipe do you's guys and girls suit the wee clio the best ?

Was gonna get twin round ones or a stealth look backbox on the system but unsure at moment :dapprove:

Your ideas are welcome

Cheers

defo get the stealth back box dont like pipes hanging out the arse end and you should get the cat taken out aswell you should see big gains

Stealth imo.

Cut in's look ok. Although there's not a company out there who make decent ones. The YS doesn't sit high, Prospeed sounds rank imo. K-tec's will probably fall to bits.

Stealths are ok... but I couldn't help thinking the first time I heard one how strange it was to hear an exhaust but not be able to see it. People will think your exhaust has a hole in it. lol.

I'm looking to get rid of my ProSpeed.

Can you put 'big gains' into context ??
Tbh an exhaust will probably only give you 5bhp if that (if your lucky)

STEALTH it is.

De-cat still undecided

Price dependant.

I mean how much extra on top of full stainless system :)

K-tec stealth fitted.Rear mount is $hagged so should be sitting slightly high.

D1CKY,

This is a Powerflow STEALTH system I had fitted at TopGear Doncaster.

Truly stealth in looks. :cool:Just like the original, unlike Chrissy_T4rdo's (!?)

The downturn on the outlet pipe from the backbox on the KTECs really look wrong.:S

Looks like your has got the dreaded droopy rear wiper like mine had when I got it. Took it off and lifted it a notch on the splines. Nice and straight now;)

Where did your exhaust from Ali ?

And is that your only mod ?

Are you from Aberdeen ?

As i've seen your car in b&q sometimes ;)

And saw it floating round Aberdeen a few times ;)

Oh:eek: Never really noticed. I think its the low angle i took one of the photos from.
It seems pretty level. I've been in the garage all evening claying, polishing and sealing the boot and the roof.:approve:

I think i was being too careful this time with the clay and havent quite taken enough cr4p off the roof. Never mind, its SRP'd and EGP'd now. It can wait til the end of summer to be fully "corrected".;)
The boot/bumper/wings are perfect. Just the rear wings, doors and bonnet to do...:dead:

I have yr moby number dude. In touch soon.

There was a problem with the back mount on Chrissy's car. I've got the same one and the idea of this exhaust is that it' should be hidden behind the bumper. On mine you can just see a tiny bit of the end. Sounds a bit boomy though

Understand what you and Chrissy have said about the rear mount. Mines well tucked up underneath. The exhaust was fab'd on the car.

As far as the "boomy" sound, I read that about the KTECs before i bought my Powerflow, however some of the guys on here reckon the later versions are a bit quieter.

I see on KTECs site that the new ones are made by Magnex!!!

Didnt they used to be made by Janspeed? Some of the 182 boys really rate the Janspeed, and note that its also especially quiet.

Dont get me wrong, i actually quite like this ktec Stealth. The fit was really good on mine.

I have had a Orbisoud sportcat welded on there though, so i wouldnt know how it sounds with a decat. Probably way too loud.
