If you know somebody with an RStuner with the airbag module you can turn the airbags off and reset the fault codes
Yeah, I think I'm going to be contacting Mark Fish for alignment/suspension setup soon ish so I'll have them look at the lights/fault codes then.

Today - Carbon canister and acoustic valve removed, made a bracket to move one of the horns out the way to fit cooling ducts.

Got my MK2 XR2 finally back on wheels after doing a load of bits underneath. I stripped all the rear end, painted underneath and had everything powder coated. New poly bushes to replace all the original ones. Complete new zinc plated bolt kit. All the front arms etc have also been powder coated and bolts replaced. There is a massive list of bits I have done, but its finally back on wheels and driving again. I just need to check everything over and then bleed brakes again. Mot in next couple of weeks hopefully.

Oil and all filters changed, new spark plugs (I think the old ones were the originals), and a drip tray fitted. MOT guys will never notice my oil leak now🤞 🤔

Not today, but yesterday.

Gave her a polish.

Didn't want to do a correction detail at this stage, so was just a "quick" one. Snow Foam, Wash, B&T, Claybar, then some Poorboys Black Hole applied with a finishing pad. Then some Mezerna Power lock. Pics taken before powerlock stage. Still got to treat the glass with some Gtechniq G1, and do the wheels.

But she come up not too bad.

I think it finishes it off personally, the dull brownish tyres take away a bit of the look imho. But don't go too shiny (Altough you'd probably get away with it on red) !

If you like a nice matte black 'new tyre' look I'd recommend slick rims from waxaddict but I think that's been rebranded to 'waxaddict slicks tyre dressing'. Let dry then rub it down with an old rag/mf.

PS4 are brilliant, got them on our m140i after MPSS and they're awesome. So much grip wet and dry!

It passed the mot with no advisories! Can get a few other little bits done now and use it a bit. First on the list is to sort the tracking!

What a difference!

Mine were the same, makes me wonder how dirty black seat belts actually are in other cars..

What did you use? How did you do it?
How did you do it?

I disconnected the seatbelts from the bottom bracket, extended them all the way out and then trapped them on the outside of the car with the door.
Then submerged them in a bucket of almost boiling water with wash powder and scrubbed with a normal dish sponge with a scouring pad.
Really easy and to do and as you can see worth the small amount of effort.

Put Gyeon View on for winter, but thought I'd give the headlights a quick blast with the Rupes coarse pad and polish while I had the machines out.

Definitely need sanding and recoating in spring but not too bad for three minutes of work! Makes it look so much cleaner/less tired. Think I'll put some new plates on as well next week.

Left before, right after:

Fitted a new Fabia splitter, fixed the exhaust hanger alignment and replaced the trophy decals. Much cleaner looking now.
