I have my MOT due in the next couple of weeks - so cracking on with some jobs on the Disco 3.
The rear underside was looking a little scabby. So I removed the spare wheel and tackled the underside with a wire wheel. It’s not the best of jobs, but I’m happy with what I achieved within the time I had. Hamerite rust converter silver and satin black was used.

I don’t think it’s too shabby for a 15 year old car that’s been used in every season on and off road.

I didn’t fancy spraying the whole underside in a waxoil just yet.

I have a new spare wheel winch to go on tomorrow and then the spare wheel back on.

In the last week, cambelt/aux & dephaser done, along with a service.
Flew through the MOT with just a couple of advisories!

Replaced the drivers side handbrake cable, fitted brass bushes to the bottom of the gearstick, and slapped some sealant on the exhaust.

Took out the the 6 year old Bosch spark plugs and put in some OEM NGK's. I'm convinced its running smoother

Insured the flamer - £140!! Bargain, then went to tax it - already taxed, not a bargain!! This means when I tried to SORN it in at the end of last year it obviously didn't process.

My insurance ran out just after my gearbox imploded so I didn't renew while it was broken. 2 months later I got a letter saying if I didn't sorn it I'd get a fine. I should have done that to start with but didn't expect it to be off the road for so long.

Great bloke, helpful and friendly. What Mick doesn’t know about these cars it isn’t worth knowing!

Building confidence towing now to crack on with the Clio and get it ready for Germany in 4 weeks time!!

let me know how the insert and dog bone is please, not sure mine needs it but have changed the dogmount on my other Clio’s and know how much improvement they make, so eager to do mine. Just wish it was cheaper like previous RS models.

Thank you, they were pitted and not shiny enough for long so figured it would work. I really like it. Black diffuser would look awesome on your car tbh.

fitted air horns as the factory one is useless lol. also fitted new rear brakes and put her on b14 coil overs got to let them settle but done at renault performance settings. may adjust as needed in a few weeks
