Ordered:
2No buckets
2No grit guards
2No lambswool mitt's
Britemax Pure Max 473ml (16oz)
Britemax AIO Max 473ml (16oz)
Ultra Plush Microfibre Cloth 16" x 26"
Allstar Steel Wool Pads #0000 Super Fine
Britemax Final Shine 118ml (4oz)
I'm a complete newbie at using proper products, just used Autoglym in the past.
Can't make my mind up now, to get a wax or a sealant.
To review:...........
Britemax PureMax -
Was very good.
High concentrate of 1:2000.......I was thinking it was a Hot Shots 'Your ego writing cheques, your body can't cash' moment.
Too it's credit, it did what it said on the tin (bottle).
Good foam, very waxy to touch, and great coverage. I actually enjoyed washing the car haha
Britemax AIO -
Really easy to apply with a good applicator pad, very good coverage, buffed off very easily with a microfibre cloth.
Very impressed with the deep shine I got, on my Black-Gold bodywork.
Some small swirls were removed. So it did its job.
Yet many swirls and marks remained.
On reflection, using good old hindsight......I should have used Black Max :tongueclosed:
After my trials, I'd give Britemax a 9/10
Whilst I was cleaning the car, I touched up the plastics after a recommendation from @imprezaworks using Solution Finish.
This stuff is EPIC!!!!!

I don't buy much as most of what I use is at work but I did splash out on some angelwax enigma to top the coating on my daily. Panel at a time is the golden rule but the shine and beading is insane.

Is it possible to ceramic coat your car yourself?

As my car park space is under a tree and at the moment i use a cover. Its a pain to put it on/off each time and im sure its making light scratches on the car!.i do clay/polish/wax it every few weeks and use a QD.

No mate, it needs to be applied in a controlled environment and it needs to cure for 24hrs I believe.

Ceramics are doable yourself but ideally need to cure inside for 12 hours. There are a couple suitable for outdoor use but I can't remember which. Certainly not Gtechniq or Gyeon.

Bit of a bump.. Having been out the game for a few years all my old kit had ended up sold or in the bin and I resorted to using the polish car washes. Time to change that with a professional detail coming up soon.

Gtechniq..

Everything else..

5 x all purpose cloths
Hozelock pump sprayer + 2 trigger bottles
4 detailing brushes
2 meguiars buckets with 2 grit guards.

Was going to order some bits, but step dad has just had some company round to do two cars, £20 per car. Snow foam, wash, carnuba wax, tyre shine etc. Hardly seems worth buying products and the hassle of doing it yourself!

Had a meeting with my insurance broker this week, who informs me my current insurer, Aviva, is not covering Valeters anymore due to a large number of claims.? he was also saying that you should advise your insurance if you apply a permanent coating as it could be taken as a modification. ?

I ordered these while I was away. Just collected from the post office. The hose getting stuck under the tyres drives me insane.

Look to be a decent quality.

I’ll report back once I’ve used them.
