What is this?

Under the bonnet this morning and found this

It look like it was connected to the battery at sometime, wire runs through the bulkhead. I can trace it into the passenger footwell then it goes behind the trim near the door.

Large fuse looking item has autoleads written on it so am i right in thinking it was used for a sound system at some point?

all you need now is a sub under the back seats or if they're clever they would of run it under the plastic trim down by the passenger door
