what next for my cup... (GDI...)?

Just got hillpower filter and cat back magnex at the moment...whats all this GDI inlet about? how much are they or do you have to get your std one modified? also..what kind of gains would i be talking about (over standard) with : Magnex, De-cat, Hillpower filter, GDI inlet and a dastek piggyback ecu?

on a 172 cup..would that even break 180bhp? how crap are these cars for tuning! :(
 
If you are going for the matched inlet manifold and plenum from GDI then you might as well get the SMT6 over the Dastek unichip.

I'm sure rmccardal has got similar mods.

oh, I would also advise ditching the cat while you're at it.

With inlet, decat, exhaust, and a nice remap you should see a nice increase in bhp and torque.

There can be impressive gains to be had working on the inlet business, depending how sh>te your standard one is. BenR talks about it on a different thread, as rmccardal says, email him about it..

im a total engine novice so i'll e-mail him in the morning, i'll probably end up sounding stupid about something :)

colin best to call me mate, quite happy to spend the time to talk over the engine and whats the best way forward for you...

lots of ways to achieve what you want.... but only a few will fit the bill for each person.... hence why i prefer to talk things over with the customer.....
