What springs to buy?

I'm after getting my Mk1 Clio lowered 55mm front and rear. What springs could anyone recommend for this? I've looked at Pi, Spax and GMax but have been told some of these aren't very reliable.

I've been quoted £240 at a local garage for the whole job including the pricing for springs (Pi springs) and think that's quite expensive, or is it just me being stupid?

Is there anyone that would be able and willing to carry out this job for me please?

avoid pi and gmax like the plague. You'll be looking at 60mm, i think koni might do a 55mm but dont quote me on that. I'd go with apex, eibach or koni. Pm john2modified on here or go on his website www.2modified.com and give him a ring cheaper than that by miles.

Thanks for the help. What do you think to Spax Springs, as i've found 55mm Springs? I've also found 60mm Apex Springs, but not too sure what to go for.

id go for apex over spax but thats just from what ive been told off other people.

I decided on Apex 60mm. This might have been a bad move as my arches might well rub now. It's all fun.

Ive got 40mm apex, i wanted to go lower but i live near loadsa speed bumps, not gud! theyre pretty gud, slight rub on full lock but uva than that theyre gud
