What to do

My friend has bought Pauls Williams 2. It has an exhaust and filter, i have a valver with a superchip, power boost valve, magnex, de-cat, idc and ecotec. I NEED to be the one in front what can i do to stay up there? Suggestions please not including 2ltr conv as i cant afford it. At the mo i run 154bhp 134lbs ft torque.

NOS, simple cheap mod for the power gains

Or turbo conversion but a lot more expensive

Heard bad things about Nos, melted pistons etc etc? Seen a turbo conv but surely same problems occur? Ant ideas for constant power mate? prob got him on bhp but i need more torque

Strip it out!

Port and polish head. and chip.

Big brakes and good suspension.

154 bhp should stay with him but with a better suspension/brake set up u can slay him on the corners

Already got chip m8, any ideas who could port&polish for me? Its got red dot racing pads and drilled and grooved discs, lowered 35mm on spax dampers and springs, soon to have 16" team dynamics racing wheels. His is on 17" compos lowered with springs, but original dampers standard brakes, is that enough? or am i gonna get smoked?

Whats wrong with ecotecs? thats the secong negative comment ive heard on them, thinking of removing it now, do they not do anything? How will i seal the vac pipe up?

I had an ecotech on my mx5 and liked it. You will need a new pipe i would think as i dont think u can reseal.

I expect his 17s will slow him down mate!

GDI/Ktec/BBTuning will port and the polish your motor.

Youll stay with him!

Oh how about new cams?

How much and how long do you reckon p&p would take and how much ££££? Thinking about cams as well, what sort of figures do you think i would get after both done except a big 0 in the bank acount. lol

Its an every day car, so i dont want wild cams, maybe some fast road? Any more and the fuel consupmtion would be crazy, i only get 200miles a full tank as it is!

Cams about £200

Another 10 bhp

Save yourself the money and just strip it out.

2 bucket seats/harnses and some ice ... job done!
