What wheel size is generally best for a Clio 182 2005? Being used as a racecar.

Has anyone got any info on what wheel size is generally best to use on a Clio 182 '05 that is being used on the track as a race car? 15" or 16"?

I'm using 15" on my track car purely due to the cost of tyres. Think the cup racers use 15" too so you might be able to get part worn tyres cheaply when they have done testing/practice and what not.

15's. all the way. No reason at all for 16's IMO.
Depends on how much sidewall you want to have and retain the same rolling profile, I guess.
That said, it's not like you need a fully accurate speedo on a genuine race-only car and (correct me if I'm wrong here), sidewall isn't good for pin-sharp handling.

And where would one get part worn tyres from?

Probably eBay or if you know where the teams are and on forums. my mate in work (has a supercharged mini) he gets part worn slicks and wets to use on track cheap but not in the size I need. I haven't bought any myself so don't know first had where to buy them plus better when the season starts too.
