whats model is my clio

hi there bought this other day as a everyday car for potting about in

can anyone tell from pics what cup packs it comes with if any?

i cant find anything on log book or wensites with number plate info as to what model it is etc etc

spoilers all look same to me on the pics i have seen of black 182's

i know the wheels are obviously cup pack ones

questions are:
*cup pack wheels? 99.9% certain only doubt is they have been put on after to replace silve ones
*is it just black or black/gold or are they all black/gold? :S
*cup spoiler or normal i cant tell
*suspension cup or normal i cant tell

anythng else anyone can educate me on looking at the pics

-grey wheels, but not concrete
-bigger spoiler and front splitter, but again, just could have had this put on and not the springs
-ride height is slightly lower and the exhaust doesn't stick out as much on the cup chassis (I know that sounds wierd, but its something i've noticed)
- Black gold is the 182 colour yes. Only one!

that looks like a standard 182 with the packs added afterwards to me mate. No spoiler pack and the exhaust oh and it looks a little high.

Thumb grips look fubard. What you pay if you dont mind me asking?

pretty cheap just over 3k full FSH and 6 months T AND T one previous owner plus myself

i bought some original mats from ebay

got a decat to put on it, i did filter myself yesterday came with standard filter

looks like just the wheels have been changed. Everything else looks standard i'm sorry to say.

On the brightside, you'll have miles more options on coilovers. If you want to check the suspension, remove the wheel and measure the hub bolt spacing. If it have 54mm it's normal suspension, 60mm is cup pack.

so its just a standard black/gold 182 with the optional dark wheels from standard?

could you have just wheels on their own as a optional extr, if thats so then it may have suspension too?

or did it all come as one package wheels, susp, spoiler and splitter?

The spoiler pack and suspension pack were seperate. Wheels were part of the suspension pack. As said the only way to tell is by measuring the hub bolt spacing really

ah right i'll measure it this week at some point, good chance it has the suspension too then as it only has the one previous owner who kept it standard

if t looks high on photos it is parked on a sloped curb so may be why it looks like it does

so 60mm is cup pack
54 mm is not

only done about 50 mile in it so far and like the way it feels, need to get a new tyre on front though as its near limit. then i'll be using it every day. still pottng about in the 106 gt for now though till its done. dont wanna rsk getting 3 points

If you're getting new tyres get the tracking done as well as its likely to be out. Try Toyo Proxes T1-R's. Very good tyres and not expensive. Got them on mine. also got Brembo front discs and DS2500 ferodo race pads.

Sounds like you got a bargain - those grips are really buggered aren't they!? What was he doing to them?

Hopefully you can source a cup spoiler and splitter at some point to finish it off. The suspension pack is the more desirable of the two.

yeah selston is not far from me!

got a sunny tyre ordered so will get the hole front balanced and tracked when its put on next week

still cant work out if it has the suspension or not :S

someone said to measure hub spacer too see if its 54mm or 60mm but i realised when i got near the wheel i dont know what a bloody hub spacer is lol, does anyone have a pic to guide me?

and the thumb grips where knackered so the guy decided to pick it all off as he thought it would look better than 80% on

only prob is it looks like he got bored half way through so its gonna be left for me to pick the rest off

sunny tyre?? that needs to go in the bin im afraid mate.
one thing never to be cheap with on performace clios are tyres and brakes..... get your self a good set of 4 tyres or at least start with a pair of matching fronts.

as regards the measurments........where the bottom of the front suspension strut meets the hub, it will be helt on with two nuts and bolts, the centers of those will be 60mm if it has cup pack suspension or 54mm if it hasnt. pretty rare that people dont opt for the spoiler kit too so i recon the wheels have just been painted.......
as said though if your going down the modified route then there is more choice of suspension kits....
dont be worried about whether its got cup packs or not as you have got a bargin either way and with a few choice oe mods you will have a pretty desirable car tbh
