Whats the deal with this v6 ?? (X reg !)

Am I right in thinking it's an early development car, or something like that ??

Never seen an X reg one before, only in an auotcar road test years ago, that was a Lhd car.

I don't want it as it's cat C & nowhere near mint enough. He also seems to think it has 4 seats, plus 10,000 miles in 6 years too :S

The first official ones were on an x reg

I bought one for £10000 about 4 years ago on an X plate - but this was a development car used by TWR and when they went bankrupt a mate of mine called Dave appleby bought all there stock ( including all the development cars ) i sold mine for £15000 within the week !! The one i bought didnt have an ID tag like all the other V6 clio's.

You will come across X reg MK1's on your travels.

Clio v6 230 Lauched in November 2000.

X reg = 01 August 2000 - 28 February 2001

They are rare as though, only even seen the 51 reg onwards uptil that ad (plus the x reg one in the auotcar mag years ago)

Are there any/many Y reg ones ??

there were a few on X, mainly development and press cars though, as far as I know..the official launch date was mid 2001 with most cars being picked up sept 1st for a 51 plate, i know car number 6 was on a 51, and I owned number 35 which was a 51 (registered 01/09/2001)


there was even a T plate black mk1, early development car, it was on ebay about 8-9 months back

I saw the black one on there a while back (I assume it was the same car) unless theres more than one mk1 black one ??
