my exhaust i custom made using 2 magnaflow silencers that don't really do a lot. Peak mine is 117dp

My old 172 was stupidly loud even with the cat in.. @Lal B3N loved it...

flol! The only reason I can think of why that was so loud was that the backbox was empty.

It was perfect for not having to talk or listen to the mrs, win win!

Went for a play with Nick172Cup with his old one, and i couldn't hear my old 172 up near the limiter (with a K-tec stealth) because of his exhaust, and he was 50-100 yards in front of me.

Djw Dave has a genuine ex cup racer exhaust, that wasn't very quiet and he still used a cat. We'll see how loud it is on the decatted track car eventually.

Loudest I've heard was mine with the sportex that I bought it with. Crappy un silenced system which I then managed to blow the baffles out of the backbox.

The drone at 30/40 and 60/70 was horrific

Mine is just under 100dB as it just goes through sound testing on track days! Not sure what system it is and its not a straight through , looks a litty chavvy though, came on the car when it was purchased. Makes a bit more a racket than normal inside as it has no interior

I've recently put milltek cat back on mying, not too loud but had vibrations from back when idle which were loud and embarrassing at lights. Turned out to be parcel shelf causing it removed now gone.
Want bit more sound so getting de cat next week.
Anyone know roughly what db will be at as planning on some track days which have 105 limit

My v6 has a Quicksilver OMG Super Sport, decat and all wadding removed from the collector box. It's pretty much unbearable to be honest. Looking into a whole new system at some point this year.
