Whats the trouble with fitting side lights to a 1*2?

I bought a set off ebay and mentioned it to my mate and he said they are an absolute nightmare to fit! He said its an awkward job and you need tiny hands to do it even suggested taking them to a garage to do.

Had a search on here and a fair few people seem to be struggling.

I tried last night and it took me about 5 seconds albeit the drivers side was a bit more fiddly but still simple. Has anyone else struggled with this? I hope i've fitted them right and not missed anything haha!

If it's anyhting like the 197, it's the headlight bulbs that are a pain, not the sidelights.

Drivers side was a pain for me, nearly got my hand stuck. Annoying but that's about it.

The drivers side was abit more difficult but the hardest part was getting the rubber seal stuck on. I guess I have pretty small hands though.

It's not about being mechanically minded, it's the fact they're a pain to do if you have aircon/big hands!

But as you said, still a simple process tbh
