I really don’t understand why Stav Tech doesn’t have more followers. His videos are a bit long but he knows a lot and he builds stuff which is frankly completely… different.
Take his current build. Mk1 MX5. With a Volvo boat engine in it, which is incidentally lighter than a K20 and will make around 4-500bhp when done. Proper rally style antilag, none of this pops and bangs mapping crap, exhaust is literally off a Tornado fighter jet and it’s built to be super responsive, super fun and pretty light too.
He also has a 3SGTE Corolla Sleeper which will end up making silly silly power - I mean it does make lots already but he has even bigger plans.
I guess it’s because he doesn’t care about making everything shiny and pretty, just mechanically sound and fooking fast.

Watch him for that ethos, spend the money where needed rather than for the sake of it. The unit is actually just down the road from me, Thomas he mentions alot welded up the tb for me on the Twingo. Genuinely nice bloke.
Yeah I watch Thomas’s stuff too, it’s a shame that bloke ran out of money to pay for the mental builds, he seems like a really decent guy.
Between the pair of them they could really just do with a big break, I think if it was really out there that they were building really unusual stuff instead of the usual cookie cutter ‘taking my M140i to 450bhp’ builds then a lot more people would be onboard.
I love both channels but I do find it entertaining that Bad Obsession spend years building a super perfect Mini then Stav slaps a 3SGTE together in 5 minutes and gets the dragy out.

I’ve seen that and quite like the project but can’t really watch him.
I might have mentioned it here before. Urchfab done a similar type of project with an MX5 and a Ford Pop 100e. Cut the floor out the Ford and fabricated the MX5 floor pan to it. Good project. And another guy that builds stuff and doesn’t just through money at the problems he faces.

I love that along with the normal videos he's very enthusiastic for the rare, behind the scenes type footage. The stuff that doesn't often get into the public domain.
Possibly, can’t remember. Well he did the Merc from scratch at least.
Yeah his videos on the Quattro etc looking at the details of each spec change are awesome. Same with the ‘hacky/cheaty/unusual engineering’ posts, but I think he had to stop doing them because they were getting immediately copied by bigger websites. His facebook page is a goldmine of rare race cars etc

I might be really late to the party but looking at sub 100k views I think this might be a hidden gem.
Retro power.
Mentioned on the last episode of binky as they fitted the headlining. Looked them up and they build an escort for Gordon Murray. I’m 7 episodes in and the attention to detail and the design ideas they go with are top notch. Video production is half decent as well.
