Wheel spin in 1*2s?

  Breaking A 172 Replica
Do 1*2s wheel spin when:

You are driving along in 1st just idling and then you bury the fun pedal?

Does this happen with any cars this side of 300bhp?

its easy to get them to spin, but it depends on the road / tyre condition. but i very rarely get wheelspin except when accelerating on a bumpy road or in the wet.

Mine does it in the wet and that's a 1600 so I'd imagine it would be even worse in a 1*2.....

my cup spins alot in the wet , yes defo dependant on weather and the type of tyres i suppose , oh traction control helps too

Obviously it is a fair bit of power going through the front wheels, it just suprises me you can spin it even at such low RPM as the torque isn't great.

On a wet road last week I was giving it some, i changed into third and as the car came on cam it broke traction very easily.

Mine also tries to spin up when changing into second under hard acceleration.

why you think so many 1*2 owners go through tyres in 6k miles lol heavy right foots in 1st gear.

I got mine to spin in 3rd once, was a wet drain cover helping me though lol

mine looses traction pretty much at 5k on bumpy roads... Never like the banging sound and relase whenever i hear it. Cant help thinkin my driveshafts are going to give up on me. :(

lol sounds like a chavs dream car, wheelspins without effort! good way to eat driveshafts lol.

mine gives a bit of axel tramp when i go into 2nd when accelerating hard but it doesnt start spinning (doesnt do that with the eagle F1s tho, cant wait to get them back on)

In the dry you won't spin the wheels in any gear and at any rpm, they might give out a little squeal but they don't spin. Mine don't and my tyres have done 21k now. :S

In the wet though is another matter altogether. :dapprove:

  A4 Avant
Before the inlets and decat mine wouldn't spin at all in the dry. Now at the top of the revs in first the front wheels break traction quite easily from a standing start and I normally get a chirp from the tyres as I change to second.

  Clio Mk1
i can do it in my 1.2 but last time i did the exhaust fell off as the engine joulted forward :/

  BMW M3
I once started wheel spinning in 4th !!!!!!

Was coming off a roadabout on the A1 near berwick and was torrential rain. Was nailing it a bit to get past a lorry ahead before the road went to 1 lane and was going up hill slightly.... just before i changed to 5th it suddenly went Vrooooooommmmmm !!! as the wheels lost traction. Was Uber cool !! lol

And can wheel spin in 1st while rolling quite easily.

I'd get spin in 1st and 2nd in the dry at pretty much any revs with Eagle F1 GSD3's, they lasted 3500 miles... now back on the trusty PE2's and had the car suspension setup with negative 2.3 degrees camber and it wont break traction at all now unless wet... then it spins in 4th :(

easy to spin the wheel and get the old axel tramp in the wet. Not a patch on my punto gt which used to wheel spin in 4th in the wet
