wheels 15 x 7 vs 15 x 6.5 on a 172 mkII

Car  Clio 172
Hi,

In Australia the 172 mkII came with 15 x 7.

I am looking to update to something nicer & lighter but find very few places stock a suitable 15 x 7 but most have a 15 x 6.5

Will I notice any loss in handling if I go with the 6.5?
Running 195/50R15 michelin PP2

thanks

6.5 wont be a problem the tyres will just bulge out a bit more. i know the roads are bad in oz so stick with a 50 profile tyre

Depending on where you are in Australia there'd be some question about whether a narrower wheel was legal. You can definitely go up in size, within limits. But you'd get into an argument about whether you could fit narrower ones.

But if you don't care about legality, or you're willing to bet you wouldn't get caught or wouldn't get booked, it'd get you a lighter wheel.
