Where does this cafr stand

Not being knowing an awful lot about clios, i enjoy reading the banter between the cup and 172 owners, hardcore racer image versus comfort leather etc. However as i one a mk1 172 there was nothing else really to compare it too in the renault range when i bought mine, apart from the hooligan v6.

So where do the mk1 172s stack up the the renault scheme of things? Just thought id see what opinions were.

Ive had a mk1 and mk2 172 now. I prefer the looks of the mk1, but liked the interior and handling of the mk2 172 better.

Decent examples of MK1 and MK2 172s are pretty much identically matched in terms of performance.

mkII s have a keener responce from lower down the rev range ..supposidly not denting performance..

Owned both 172s, prefer mk2 on looks and kit, with performance just identical.
