Where to buy Silkolene 5W40 Oil

Hi all

The missus has her 182 1st service due - would like to supply my own oil and having looked at this site, it seems that Silkolene Pro S 5W40 is recommended.

I have looked on Opie Oils website and they want about £45 for 5 litres.

Is there anywhere else you can recommend to buy it from cheaper?

Where abouts do you live? have you tried a local motor factors? they can normally order anything you like..

Opie oils is the cheapest I found for 5 litres, £32 i believe it was with my discount and free delivery too.
Also got the oil filter from them

Yup.............dont be so tight and buy yourself 10ltrs...that way you have oil to use as top up too:approve:

Good oil costs. £45 sounds about right for the volume needed for an oil change. I get mine from Opie best place I've found.

Yea, I'm just thinking use the 4 litres as spare - they do like using it.. 1 litre every 1000 miles or something (I think thats what most people experience), maybe 1200. so 10 litres is great for a 6000 change

Serviced my 182 yesterday oil had been in far 2 long ,its 2 long between intervals. Halford do 5 /40 £ 32 oil filter £8 spot on + u r not paying 4 the name + the properties r much better .

OIl filters are cheaper from a main dealer than Halfords I found.
