Which de-values the quickest?

  Italian 3.2 V6
1. R27? (pick 1 up for around 10k atm)
2. R26? ( " " " " " 12k " )
3. Ph2 V6? (13k)

Iirc the r27 loses £100 a month? Is thAt correct? Any1 know what's the other 2 lose a month!?

Cheers, piers.

The V6 is more special than either of the other two. I wouldn't be surprised if one day, mint condition examples level out or even start going up in value.

Vee will hold out better. Expect to see a dip in the R27/R26 when the new Clio 200 and Meg RS are released.

arguable as it depends on what version of the r26/r27 you have
for example white and liquid yellow are sort after where as black red etc arent.
i personally think spec of the car will determine devaluation as mines the lux version so has all the toys and in white so im hoping will hold a decent resale value in a few years.

Yup, mint R5 GT Turbos can go for anything up to about £20k.

lol
thats funny i have a fully rebuilt minter and struggle to sell it for 2800 nevermind 20k ;)
turbo 2 go for around 13ish but again its engines in the rear and they are really sort after

So vee is best buy :)

But yea I agree that they will level out then go up in price... The Mint ones anyway

Worth noting of course that to keep the value high you will have to spend a lot of money on upkeep so in many ways whatever you gain on the residuals you will loose on the running costs.

I remember about 10 years ago seeing most mint Escort cossies going for around the £15k-£20k mark and nowadays they are about....£15k for a minter.
Based on that I would say the Vee stands a great chance of hovering around that mark for years to come.
