Which Spoiler to choose??

Which Spoiler would you prefer on my Flame Red 172??

- Cup
- Trophy
- V6 (Isnt the vee's the same as trophy though, not sure tbh)

Im kind of swaying towards the trophy as its a bit different to a Cup one!

This is the last thing I want, and then the car is finished :approve:

Trophy spoiler is indeed the same as the V6 one

I'd personally say the cup spoiler as I think the V6/trophy one looks bit big on the "lesser" Clios. Also bit more work involved with fitting one as you'd have to change the boot lid struts.

Im only thinking of Trophy because its different to what most people have got, so might make my Flamer stand out a bit... I dunno though!

I guess it will be a case of which one comes up first at the right price!

I much prefer the Trophy spoiler... it's like the std spoiler but with a kick where as the cup spoiler just looks a bit out of place imo and doesn't follow the lines of the roof imo... hence why i didn't take my cup spoiler off my cup and put it on my iceberg!

I'd love a Trophy spoiler and Trophy Recaro's... am I a Trophy wannabe!? Nah cos I like xenons and iceberg too much!!!!!!!!! lol.

Noob question but why do you need to change the boot struts due to changing a spoiler!? I'm sure there's a simple explanation but it just seems ludicrous and probably costly if you have to get the struts from Renault on top of the cost of a spoiler plus spraying!!!

the spoiler hits the aerial IIRC with the standard struts...

EDIT: Cup spoiler IMO.
with it being a flamer, it would look too trophyish - as said above..

I have a Trophy/Vee spoiler and a Cup spoiler and i must say i like the Trophy much better

Yes you do need smaller boot strut's for the Trophy/Vee as the spoiler will hit the roof. Also i have Turini's and Recaro's I love the trophy but i love black car's better so i made a compromise and resulted in the only stealth Trophy lol

trophy one is nice, but cup one suits it better imo. Plus you don't have to worry about spending a rediculous amount on new struts to fit it.

Would a trophy spoiler just touch the ariel? or would it touch the roof of the car aswell?

think it's the roof that it touches mate. ie you can't open the boot. IIRC they are around £200 new from the stealer :S

Can you not open the boot at all then? or can you get it half way or something? I dont mind if you can open it half way or something as I dont use my boot much anyway!

I guess you could have a boot that would only open half way but I'm guessing you'd end up with a spoiler with a long dent and paint damage where it's hitting the roof??

I've got the Vee/Trophy struts on atm so it doesnt touch the roof if you didnt have the struts i'm assuming you would only be able to open the boof half way.
