Who services your car

Ive jsut had my Clio in to get serviced which was fine but i also asked them to sort out a miss fire problem im having. Their comment once they realised that it was modified is that they wont touch it until its back to std form! So i told em too f**k off as what the hell has an Ik got to do with it miss firing and yes i told them that it was happening b4 i put it on. So in the end im going to take it an independent garage to get it sorted for half the price i suspect. Its probs summit stupid like a dodgy spark plug or a blocked fuel line!

Has anyone else problems like this with their Renault dealership?

Never use them as there well overpriced and cant do anything my mechanic cant do!

Sod main dealers, guy from the Transport department at work does my car in his dinner brake. £30 for an oil change, he also stamps your service book with the “Midlands Electricity Transport Department” service stamp on the sly.

have a go yourself eddie, i found the fault on my gtturbo by running it then pulling off each lead one at a time when it dropped to running on two cylinders i knew that one was fine but when i got the the cylinder that was faulty i pulled the lead off and there was no change. then to see if it was the lead or the plug i took the lead from another cylinder and swapped it and as the misfire was still on that cylinder and didnt move with the lead i swapped i knew it was the plug. childsplay, might not be the plug or lead on yours but its a start

Yeah my mate knows a thing or 2 about his cars and hes coming back home next weekend so im going to get him to give me a hand at changin a few bits n bobs to see if that helps!

good lad and to answer the question mine goes to a mian dealer for its services as i prefer the look of their stamps in the book come trade in time as my car is only a year old
