Found a spot on guy, who owns a clio sport cup, asked him about anyone can do a cheap cambelt change etc, he says he is just doing his

So he got back to me, on how much it will cost

195 pound!!! Whoop!

Considering renault and antoer garage quoted me 750 , and a local ish garage 250

You found a guy whos willing to do one of the most important jobs on your car for cheap, i hope its a garage and not a random guy.

Doing a cup is completely different to a normal 172, so hope he realises that.

does he have the correct looking tools? are you getting the book stamped?

think he has done a few actually, he works for him self, and its litually across the road from where i work soo . better then renault doing it

I used my local garage after Renault qouted 1100 to do just a camblet, plus I needed an MOt and a new drivesahft gaiter.

Local place did it for me for £550 including an MOT and a few other bits that was 15 odd thousand ago I think. f**k the stamp.

Not a bad price, know a few people who do it for around that, Renault tech's

Labour for mine was £175

Aux belt kit for a FF is circa £130 from what I remember alone and the cambelt kit is pretty similar.

luck i work for a motor trade, so i get parts cheap gonna get a quote for it all 2mor

I got trade prices from renault and it was still close to 300 sheets all in, don't forget the two plugs for the end of the head!

Aux belt kit is £116, cambelt is just under £140 from memory! plus 2 x seals at £4 and £6.

Aux belt kit is renault only, cambelt kit can be got from a motor factors for about £100 sheets with seals.

just done mine got aux kit via mate 140 mate works at trinity if you want ask me
gates (same manu. as genuine) cambelt kit 120 (inc cam caps) car user
and water pump 16 quid car user
