Why are cup splitters so expensive/overpriced?

I would pay the extra and get a standard one if I were you, unless you like stone chips that is.

Dearer than a front splitter for a 996 Porsche, lol. I still cant quite work out how Renault feel they can charge more for the equivalent part on a clio that even at full retail was 15k new compared to a 70k plus Porsche.

checked it at work today and i got it at £150.99**** but when you round the complete figure up properly it comes out as £151 bang on

It's supply and demand really though isn't it?
As stated there's only really K-Tec who sell an aftermarket jobbie, so if you want your Clio to remain standard, Renault could charge £250 and you'd have to pay it (or buy second hand!).

Untill a decent aftermarket (OE looking) one is released Renault can charge what they want.

i'm serious !! Part was listed at this price when you could still order motorsport-parts for the clio 2 ! Now you can only order stuff for the new Clio....

How can you invest in quality of manufacture... its a strip of plastic.

Maybe it could be worth someone speaking to a plastic manufucturer or something and seeing if they could reproduce them ??

If a few people said they wanted them the price could come in under renaults & k-tec's.

Just an idea, not sure how feasible it is.
