Williams Clio - how much

Just a quick question: Mate of mine has recently sold his house and has a pocket full of cash sloshing about and wants to spend some on a proper car. I have just found a Williams Clio for sale for him and was wondering what you think to the price?

1994 - No 67
49k
One Owner from new
Full Renault service history

£6995 ono

I suppose its very difficult to judge as there cant be many with such low mileage and one owner from new. Dunno what they go for though? Is £7k over-priced?
If I had the money I would get it myself as these things are Badgers Nadgers to drive!

P.S I drive a 205 turbo but please dont hold this against me!

I bought my Williams 3 with 55K 2 Owners and Full Renault Sevice History and I paid £4,500.

Seems to me people can charge what they want for a mint low numbered Williams cause there will alwas be someone wanting to buy them.

Although I know for sure I wouldnt pay 7grand for one, Im not saying its not worth 7k just I personally wouldnt pay it.

Cheers

Rob

Going to be a minter by the sound of it - Full history and teh same owner all its life.

Wish I could av it.

Its a private. Its also on Autotrader.

Cant get a consensus as most people say its over-priced whereas others say "snap it up". I reckon that it s a grand too much.

I guess just offer him £6k and see where the haggling goes

You really need to give the car a thorough examination before you can say if its a good price. If it really is MINT its worth the money but if its like the majority of mint car and has many hidden faults its worth a lot less. If its a 1 owner car youve got to presume its been well looked after I suppose.

As MartinS says - also mine is mint and I mean mint with 33,000 and one 60 year old owner before me - I would expect £5,000 or so max. Maybe get more if I ever sold but £5,000 is what I personally think mine is worth.

Would always advertise if for more to start with just in case.......
