Willys and 16v engines





you dont, only by the code on the front of the block...

Oh and the colour on the top of the dipstick is different, but I cant remember which colours are 1.8 and which are 2.0
 


A genuine Williams F7R (as opposed to one fitted to a Megane/Spider/retro-fitted to a Valver) will have a tubular steel manifold, which appears thinner than the Valvers cast alloy one.

Other than that, theres pretty much no way to tell by looking.

Dunno if it changes, but Im sure they are always white.
 


Nice one daz, yup, white..... on the valvers Ive seen a black dot and a blue dot I think...... cant recollect any other colours.
