Do i win the prize for most extreme diy on a 172 ?
Spent the day refitting the engine into my phase 172. It was -4 in the shade, on the driveway dropping it back in by myself.
Still have 2 hands and 10 fingers , all counted back in !
Biggest problem was getting ns driveshaft back in as the disc was frozen to the pad as i dint bother removing the drivesahfts from the hubs.
JUst need to refit hoses and loom and job done.
Nice new clutch and aux belts fitted. All for £150 + some box oil
Am i mental !!!!!!!
ps. still have twitchy arse from moving heavy engine over engine bay with engine crane on a hill in 2 inch of ice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! going to have a lie down !!!!!
