Wiper stalk removal!!! Help!!!!!

Right so the button on the end of my wiper stalk for my trip computer etc fell off, ordered a new one. So I've taken the 3 T20 screws out and pulled the top half of the cowling off, but the bottom piece won't budge as the cruise control stalk is in the way? Any ideas?
