Wiring loom modification

Hi lads. I know it's a long shot but I will ask anyways. Does anyone know of a company or a person who can successfully modify existing loom or wire a brand new one on my clio 172? Basically needs to have only the essentials. Airbag, speaker, heater, ac, sensors, wipers, windows etc. must go! This will be one of my next jobs on the Clio and I am not confident I wanna do it myself.
Obviously not looking for a free job. But would be nice if it was affordable.

Well I wasn't sure if I can get rid of it? It's that box where all of them connect to right? Universal Controller Hub right?

Have you ever got rid of one? Mine only operates my indicators now so it's next in the list to be removed but I wouldn't mind advice if you've done one

only when doing stand alone and basic loom. can get rid and run phase 1 ecu but not 100% certain if you can with the phase 2 ecu though?

strip everything you don't need out or build a loom on the car?

What ever is the easiest :) there is nothing inside but the loom already :) well a bit of cage as well haha.

I asked the same questions a few month ago, and the only option I could think of was to send it to somewhere like EFI. I just cut back the cables I wasn't using such as airbags, radio, heaters, aircon, speakers and esp taped the wires and then removed the fuses so there wasn't any live cables knocking about.

I've got a ph1, but running standalone ECU, and Dash 2. Like I say, the UCH only works the indicators now so I think it's just a case of building a new indicator circuit and removing it. I might end up starting from scratch though as the Renault loom position probably isn;t the simplest

I paid someone to do mine. Got rid of pretty much the same as you want to, but kept the front wipers.
I also ditched the main heater setup, for a small T7 heater (for demister), and a marine fan unit for cool air (for me!).
Still have electric windows, ABS, Lights.

Got rid of Rear wiper/ washer, 3rd brake light, stereo, cruise, carbon canister.
Also got the battery setup moved to the rear.

Where and whom?))) that's what I wanna know :)
I will need to keep only wiper, rear lights, front lights, turn signals. And will have to wire in smaller demister

bummer, with ripping as much out as you want to you might as well of gone for a full stand alone, cheaper than the gen 90.

Well I can still do that. Bought Gen90 second hand. Was a bit of an impulse buy lol. But I did look at Omex Ecu with loom and dash etc. Is that what you talking about?

plenty of makes around now. not looked at omex for a while but they wouldn't be first choice. adaptronic are good, specialist components as well. depends on budget and what you want/need it to do.

so easy as well to hook up to something like a dash 2 with absolute minimal wiring.

What's the pricing on that? Would that ditch the UCH and junk too?

not checked on prices for a while but £350 ish upwards should get you a stand alone ecu, then the cost of engine loom for it and mapping.

what engine/spec are you going for? you could just run the standard ecu on it's own.

No idea. Currently standard, bar a fatty induction kit.
I have an SM inlet to put on at some point (but having only just finished the car, I want to get used to it first in standard trim), and thought about 197 cams too.

My problem right now, is an electrical fault, which means I have no working coolant gauge, or rev counter (I do have fuel level and speedo, but it appears the clocks have been messed with as the needle drops past 0).

no need for stand alone ecu.

I was thinking of it as being a way around the electrical issue. Simplify the loom, and run a digidash.

just use the standard ecu to do it with, bin everything else, uch etc. easy enough to make a new engine loom for it. you can buy a relay and fuse box set up from cbs to use for the main car loom, you get an idiots guide on how to do it from them as well.

i know the likes of the dash 2 run from most ecus on can feed but not sure if it will marry to the clio ecu that way? if it does then two wires and your dash is working. few more for tell tail lights and fuel sender.

To have a complete loom done properly I've been quoted £1200 plus!
That's propa spec wiring, wrapped, OEM plugs. That was with AIM dash and only brake lights!

And not too many wanna get involved in making them as looms are so time consuming

For £1200 I'll rewire the bloody thing myself lol. Twice! First time to fuckitup and second time learn from mistakes and do it proper! Ha ha

it's surprising how long it can take to build a loom. sure i read about 100 hours for a full loom?
