Wiring Up My Sub

Basically I need a full guide/instrutions on how to wire up my sub and amp & what wiring kit I need.

obviously if you dont have components just ignore, and the earth cable could be connected to a bolt underneath the seats, remember to scratch the paint off before though, apart from that its simple stuff

Whats best to run the sub at. its a duel 4ohm sub so i can run it at 2ohm or 8ohm.

Which is better? 2ohm or 8ohm

Just posted this on here (last post by me). Bit confussed about what Ohms my sub runs at. It says duel 4 Ohms in the details but as you can see from the pictures it dosent look like it.

as i know on my jl w6 it had one set of binding posts but some jumpers to run it in either 2 or 8 ohms

yeah thats the only wires.

what do you mean by jumpers. Im sure the info is correct but as im trying to learn it all it :Sed me.

Have another question to whos reading.

I Amp I have is Mono 1 Channel but how come theres 2 L+R speakers outputs. Surley if its 1 channel it should be only 1?

they will just be for ease of connecting 2 subs to the amp

I take it if i was to connect 2 subs up to it. would the RMS power 1/2?

e.g.
1x500RMS @ 4Ohms would be 2x250RMS @ 4Ohms?

if you connect 2 4ohm subs you show the amp 2ohms

so each sub would get half of it's output power @ 2ohms

Yeah well i found where it should of been. its been taken off :S

Does that mean its going to be working at SVC 4Ohms now?

um if it's been removed then it will run as a svc 4ohm sub but the rating will be halfed

250RMS cant complain as it was given to me

If the sub has had a coil disconnected it will alter all its characteristics, best course of action would be to replace it....

With regards the Sony P5 amp, under no circumstances attempt to bridge this amp, on most dual output mono blocks it has no bearing, but on this amp it will damage the output stage, (Amplifier will switch on as normal, no protect light or any indication of a fault, it simply won't produce any output)....
