Would you like it if the design of 172/182 were on 1.2-1.6

May sound wierd but alot of people like the 172/182 deisng but cant have one because of the insurance with them being 2.0L

I would love it if they made 172/182 models with 1.2 engines ranging up 1.6.

I like style aint to fussed about performance but i think it would be good if they done this.

Ive seen a few 1.2 modded and must admit they look very nice my mk2 ph1 is modded slightly much better.

Agree completley, why would I want a car that Looked the same as the rest of the range? I like it because It stands out

lol to be honest the sport doesn't really look that different to base models anyways.

Exactly. It's only the V6 that really stands out.

Lol everyone who has a sport wants it unique to sports which is fair enuf and makes it wat it is, but as a 1.2 driver lol and most other small engine drivers i say it would be wicked lol.

Mondeo - People want it to look like the ST.
Golfs - Want it to be like the GTI

Whatever car you have if its one of the best in the range you will get people copy.

I was thinking of making 1.2 16v Dynamique into a sport replica but have decided to just lower it a little and fit later style alloys.

Ditto mate, used to really wind me up. It's detrimental to the RS brand name, people will see a 1.2 with a 2.0 badge on it hammer it and think that the CS is a slow car.

Would be a huge mistake if renault went for this. Audi have already made the mistake releasing the S-line letting deisels look like S3/4s and I think VW are about to do the same bringing out and R-line range... w*****s :dapprove:

Dont think half of you people understand as 17 and 18 year old drivers insurance is a major on a 172/182. So its not like there doing it to be pricks some just want there 1.2s and 1.4s etc to look nicer and the best way to go about that is to go for sport version body etc as supposed to a chav body kit.

I have seen a 1.2 with the 2.0l badge on and sport on the back round my way and you can tell from a mile away that its not a renaultsport i could tell from the other side of the pub car park lol
