both my brother and myself have 182's on 54 plates.

Mine has now done 28k after almost 2 years.

My bro's has done 9k after almost 2 years.

My bro is going to be buying a new car in the new year sooooo

would you swap the higher milage racing blue ff 182 for a black ff 182 with 6 disc cd thingy for a bit of extra cash?

I know his is a genuine car and is well looked after.

My theory is i may have to pay him approx 800 quid or so to get the newer 182, and i reckon i would be close to the next service intervals on my 182, so it could make some economic sense.

Dunno if i could part with my racing blue for a yucky black 182... lol ;)

If you like the colour. Yes i would for a few hundred pounds for a low mileage car.

You arent due a service for another 8k miles..

I might give him a bit, but not that much. Maybe 500?

i think the price i would give him would all depend on how much he was offered in trade in price when he went to buy his new car. Maybe even the differential between putting my car into the trade in instead, if you get what i mean...

i wouldnt bother tbh mate (probably because i prefer racing blue).. only reason i would change would be for the colour..

  1.6 Astra ... R.I.P. 182
i would say no not worth it because they get better and better with mileage and there both going to depreciation substantionally when the 197 comes out.

oh and racing blue is better

No, Racing Blue is awesome, black is rubbish.

If you want the 6CD give him £50 for it.

Sod the changer, Denison Ice link and an ipod is a much better option.

yeah i need one of those... quite expensive though! :( plus it doesn't work with the controls on the sterring wheel does it?

It does still work with the wheel controls, volume up and down, change source and lets you skip tracks, just not playlists.

sounds like a TOP deal that Seb matey, although imo you move on from Clio's, there's a world of other performance cars out there equally capable for similar money... granted, might not be as new, but you need new Reno's these days as they break so often... that's their only downfall really, as for price there really is nothing better at what it does.

What he said ^

My "new" car is older than the Cup and over twice the price, but have no regrets, you know you want to ;)

  Megane225FF
offer £200 more than the garage are offering on the trade in price...
ps - although blue's better than black IMO

Actually Jesus, I'm suprised you didn't tell him to trade it in for a "superior" Williams :clown: lol.

  172 Exclusive... For Sale
Consider the fact that you're gonna have an additional owner on the log book if you're gonna do it that is... (being your brothers you may not wanna bother putting your name on the V5)

Extra owners tend to ward off buyers and lowering the value (IMO)

no urs is run in, his isnt.

u have prob had more warranty issues resolved due to use abd aint got that much warranty left, no point IMO

How could you ask Seb? Racing blue is by far the superior colour, I'd hang on it to it for the sake of a few miles ;)

yup, swap the car and leave it in his name.. if i could shave 20k off for over £500 or whatever, i'd do it.. black is a c**t to clean at first but once you have the right products for it and a good routine, its easy..in the summer it can be really hard to clean b4 7pm, but is one of the most rewarding colours when clean:cool:

hehe, superior is a very subjective word, but I think as an ownership prospect the 182/172's are much better, but for a fast, fun raw drivers car they lose out marginally on all aspects. No, if I was going to suggest a car I'd say for the same money get an E36 M3 Evo, Classic Scooby of some sort (STI or UK PPP'd one), Audi S4 or something along those lines. Even the Subaru is going to be more reliable and hold it's value better than most if not all Clio's, plus, why change from one car to the same one? I'd be bored now... as I am with the Williams

my concenr with getting a subaru or something similiar that you suggest is IF something does go wrong, it will be serious moolah.

i know both these 182's so that counts for a lot. I know they have been treated well.

all i will say is the next car, whatever it is, has to have air con as i use it all year round lol.

common mis conception on some faster cars, my mates last Scooby cost hardly anything to run, just used up a lot of juice... but then it was foot to the floor all the time. part and labour cheaper than French cars if you look about. plus, you can pick up an X reg 2000 model with aircon etc etc for around 5k with FSSH and under 60k on the clock... lot of car for not a lot of money these days.

linkage???^^^^^

so what if the turbo goes or something?? surely the four wheel drive system can't be easy to fix? :S

  Black Gold 182 (Cup Pack)
Black is a much better colour, if you have no social lfe and like car cleaning!

, plus yes it might be only 28k on your clock now, but when/if you come to sell it you are going to have a much lower milage car to sell on, therefore protecting your investment.

or something like that!
