X Reg 1.2 Clio Power Steering Issue

Ok,

Missus car has a fluid leak which i have traced to be the power steering leaking..

If you stick your head under the engine bay lying from so your feet are at the bumper and your head towards the sump to the right of the sump just above the subframe is a sensor of some sort running off the main power steering pipework.

The leak seems to be coming from this location.. Anyone able to tell me if this sensor is easy to replace? does the power steering need to be bled before replacement etc..

unscrew the sensor then plumbers tape or replace the seal its a common issue

so i dont need to drain off all the fluid before i remove the sensor???

sounds as though you'll lose some as you disconnect it anyway. bleeding's probably just a case of leaving the cap off the reservoir and (with engine running), moving the rack from lock to lock until you've no more air appearing in the reservoir
