So the 4K version of LOTR is good? Does it support Dolby Vision or just HDR10?

The other half has got me the 4K box sets of LOTR and the Hobbit for Xmas. Can't wait!

Dolby Vision and Atmos are supported yes!!

Trust me dude they have done an awesome job of this. They colour graded it different too so now it looks soooo much better! Check out the small comparison images below - Bottom halves are the 4K remaster images!! Outstanding!

Tried to load my One X up to check what games etc were on the external hdd I had, It's got zero output through the hdmi port now so got this just in time

I hadn't touched my XBONE for most of the year until I got swept up in the XSX hype and preordered in September. Then played my XBONE loads throughout October to justify it 😂

Cyberpunk reviews are coming out. Sounds like a buggy mess, they also haven't allowed any reviewers to use their own footage, and there's nothing supplied by CDPR to show off Xbox one/PS4 gameplay. Think I'll wait a while for them to sort most of the bugs

Gads, There is a day one patch though, hope that helps a bit, Most of the ones I've see are pretty positive though?

Eurogamer's preview was pretty scathing (reading between the lines)

You'd think after all the years of delays it would be near enough spot on, Saying that when was the last big release that happened that didn't have some sort of bug/glitch, It's a shame Devs get rushed imo to release games ASAP now

It was never going to be a bug free release. You don't delay a game a month and everything is suddenly fixed, they've rushed it out for xmas and are hoping they can patch it quick enough to keep people from being too unhappy.

I expect @Jason_E will be awaiting his pre-order with much excitement, broken game #3 for his new console 😂

It is unheard of to ban reviewers from using their own footage! Like What the actual F**CKKK. Lol

Not only that, but like you said there is no console footage allowed AT ALL.

This is a very bad sign. I was going to take the plunge, even loaded up my Microsoft account to pre-order the game. I stopped myself when I saw this sh*tshow lol. I’ll happily wait till next year, when the game is hopefully patched a few times and has the “next-gen” update. Makes sense.

Ok so I watched a tonne more reviews and the general consensus is:

Its a 9/10 game, but buggy AF and they wish it was delayed another 6 months. However in its current state they still consider it a 9/10 because most of the bugs are not ”game breaking” and the game itself is very very good.

However - like mentioned before NO CONSOLE reviews or videos have been released. Which is worrying. If the game running on an RTX 3080 PC is struggling, then I’m guessing the console versions aren’t going to fair much better lol.

All in all, who did not expect bugs? It is a MASSIVE game, so bugs are very much expected. Give it a couple of months and I am sure it’ll be ironed out - and if you are buying for launch, then enjoy it - just know to expect some bs to go with it lol.

Yes, high end PCs apparently. Not seen any reviews from consoles running lesser specs. All images have been from PC too iirc.

I'll just wait for the PS5 version to come out.

I am so excited for Halo Infinite. They addressed every freaking concern in that post yesterday. The whole Halo community seems to be very positive right now after reading that. Yes, it is almost a year away (damn), and I am guessing they will release on the 20th Anniversary of the original Halo (November 15th).

I’m happy to wait though, seeing as the game is already looking so much better for it.

People are playing the game by switching the consoles timezone to New Zealand. The game itself seems to be running like complete s**t based on the impressions I'm getting from Reddit

CE, 2, 3, Reach, ODST & 4 all completed over the last 4 months on Legendary. Don’t have a One so can’t play 5. My favourite was Reach. Awesome storyline.

Running it in performance over quality for now, Lot of detail in the world, Not had any bugs other than it freezing for 5/10s on the way back from the first proper mission. No doubt there will be more as I play a bit more of it
