xenon headlight/electrical problem

A couple of days ago i begun getting a clicking from near my glovebox like a relay going mental which went in time with my headlights flickering when i started the car , now my nearside headlight has gone and the clicking has stopped . can anybody enlighten me to what the problem may be ? Cheers

My money would be on a relay packed up they are situated behind the glovebox!
