Xenon Problem

On the way back from Donington on Sun Night

the drivers side xenon went pop.

Mon morn took it into my local dealer - who ordered me a new bulb

(they dont stock them - too expensive £150 each)

Tues afternoon tried to fit it before realising that the bumper & headlight needs to come off.

Took it back today for the fitting

picked it up an hour later to be told

That the drivers side xenon computer had gone

so they have ordered me a new one & a whole new headlight unit (just in case)

Problem is that I cant drop car off until next Wed

So Ill have been driving around with only one headlight for nearly 10 days

Anyone else had probs with the xenons?

sorry to hear it mine have been perfect so far (touch wood) in the 15 odd months ive owned the car, hopefully once they sort it you wont have any more problems with them

Xenons should last for about 10 years!

IIRC They are guaranteed for 4-5 years, so if they arent that old do some research and find out for sure.

£150 sounds a bit steep for one, I think there was a link posted on here that did them for £70 each.

Have only had the car for 2 weeks

Brand new - so I would imagine it was a faulty unit
