xenons on a cup

oh and another thing guys any one got any idea if xenons can be put straight onto a cup and if so how much cheers

The headlight units are just a straight swap but theyre about £200 each for the units then the xenon bulb on top

However xenon headlights legally have to have washer jets thats why full fat 172s have bumper mounted washers and reservoirs and cups just have the blanking plates on the bumper

You also need the charge packs aswell, and the auto level motors and some other stuff..if you bought the parts from renault your looking at about £1000-1500

Its a big job put it like that.

On my Cup Ive bought Osram Silverstars and bluevision side lights (came free with the headlight bulbs) and the headlights have massively improved.

i was told somewhere that if you have xenons and no washers for them, then it will fail the MOT.

Dont bother, cups are supposed to be lightweight and it will be a lot of effort to do the conversion. Get the some uprated bulbs, or if your dead set on doing it, speak to matt (j3ned on here) at http://www.specialistrenaultbreakers.co.ukwww.specialistrenaultbreakers.co.uk and see if you can get the entire set up from a chubby172

My MOT tester didnt know anything about this, his exact words were "its not in my book, so itll pass"

You dont need washers unless the car was supplied new with xennons fitted as standard.

As the cup does not have them you should be ok however will the MOT tester no the difference between the variants?

I doubt it.
