Bought it last week but had to wait till yesterday for it to be delivered.

The bloke collecting it from the garage and delivering it broke down just after picking it up at 11.00 am, 13 hours later he turned up with it.

It's a 2009 with 5k on the clock, have bought a tail tidy and small number plate already and next on my shopping list is a new exhaust.

Cant believe how tiny the exhaust is for a 1000! Looks good though mate, can't wait to finally do my bike test, so pissed off they changed the rules on it though...

Little update on my bike and better pictures.

Have hardly ridden it

due to the s**tty weather we've had since getting it.

Cleaned it after the last time I'd been out on it and tucked it up under a cover as I've been away in Prague for the last 5 days.

Came back from Prague to a couple of parcels

1st up was an end can I won off ebay. So fitted that this afternoon, thankfully it was a piece of p1ss to fit and looks better than the oe. It's not too loud which I'm happy with as I leave for work at 6 am so don't want to upset the neighbours. Need to get an exhaust hanger next to get rid of the pillion pegs, have also removed the massive hugger.

Also got a set of rearsets, hopefully these will be on tomorrow.

Been riding almost 15 years now. All previous bikes have been 600s K1 and K4 GSXR's and an 08 ZX6r.

Fitted some rearsets yesterday, as I couldn't get on with the oe ones.

They're cheapy ebay ones from china, which I thought I'd try for the price. The last ones I bought for the zx6r were over £400.

So far these are pretty decent for the money, hopefully they won't fall apart. The seller has decent feedback so fingers crossed.

Don't have time to go that far these days, what with mrs and kids to occupy my time. Usually go to 1 or 2 bsb races, donington/silverstone and I went up to the nec on the bike last year for the bike show. Normally I go up to Llandovery and the surrounding area for a blast.

Well think I'm going to change the rear tyre as its a bit squared and its not giving me any confidence. I was slowing down and losing all the heat and making it even worse. But loving the power of it and the noise of the engine. 0-60 seems to take about a second. Lol what you think of yours so far?

If it's squared it doesn't feel nice at all lol. If there's still plenty of tread left go for a decent spin on some windy roads, don't be afraid to lean, bikes these days are a lot better than the riders haha.

I haven't been passed my test long so saying just lean is easier said than done. Lol got about 3/4 of an inch either side of my tyres that I haven't used.

Sorry didn't mean crank it right over lol esp. as it's still cold out there. Just if there's still life in the tyre just find some windy roads and the profile will come back.
