Thats annoying they won’t discount if you’re spending a lot. I’ve done a few of the kit builder things, prefer to pick exactly what I want as they all have 1 or 2 bullshit things in and as you say lower spec stuff.

I‘ll keep my eyes peeled for what I fancy. For now I’m just happy the child’s impact I have works as I wanted!
Get Kyle to speak to Nathan

He will sort it out for you

Power tool mate friends

Sds, combi, impact driver, probably a planer too and a splash of 5 amp batteries to start with. Got some DIY to get cracking on in the new house.

Mate at work is trying to persuade me to go Makita instead of Milwankee

If you're looking at mechanic's tools and general hand power tools I'd stick with Milwaukee. If you're doing bench works and big free standing tools / chop saws etc then go for Makita.

Mum: "Your dad said he wants an impact gun for Christmas" *links the worst Chinese s**t on eBay*

Kyle's mum has played a blinder here. There's no way Kyle is being reimbursed £300 for that, she knew full well sending him something s**t would get him running to Nathan wallet in hand.

Meanwhile she'll be wrapping it up "with love from mummy Kyle" and getting sent the the moon on Christmas day when daddy Kyle opens it.

Kyle has paid £300 for him mum to get some.

The women works well.

Quick question. Is this good vfm?

Depends what you’re expecting from it. That is their more basic line (non fuel). But if you’re just doing 1/4” type jobs with 6-13mm non corroded fasteners it may be better for you than the fuel range as it’s a lot more compact.

If you want to get caliper bolts out and do anything slightly substantial then you’d be better off with the 3/8” fuel ratchet.

or look for the 1/4” version on there if you want 1/4” specifically

No mate

She said it to all 3 of us and wanted us to get him it

She's already got him an anal pass for Christmas, so he'll be blowing her back out and having a raging torrent of orgasms anyway x

Ok so looking into the fuel stuff. How about this?
Re the impact gun, I take this will be perfectly adequate for spinning off wheel bolts or is it a bit overkill? If required can the torque be adjusted so it doesnt give full nut busting power.

Excuse the daft questions I am a noob when it comes to stuff like this.

Yeah be fine for wheels that haven't been put on by a monkey with an air gun.

You'll probably want a 4 or 6ah battery for it though if you're doing a fair bit of work.

Adjustable modes are 1: 85nm 2: 135nm 3: 340 (full power) 4: auto shut-off

You’ll need a 6ah battery if you want a chance of taking wheels off. Mine’s night n day different on 6ah to 2h

Don’t rely on it doing so though unless the nuts are clean and recently torqued properly.

Mine rarely touches a customer’s nuts. Yes they’ll undo xyz torque but a corroded wheel bolt origanlly set a year ago at 88lb makes mockery of paper ‘figures’ and the torque channel figures.

The big one is crazy strong though I’ll give it that. I had my long breaker bar on some wheel bolts the other day (the type that you crack and the snap hurts your hand/arm) I said to my mate “your old Milwaukee big boy won’t touch these buggers”. He handed it over and it span them off easily.

I think I might get the big boy and the new mid torque at the same time, just need to work out the best way of buying them both (as want to buy set and body only)

This is what I ended up ordering. Hoping it was the right decision as there is soo many different model numbers to choose from.

Question to @dann2707 and whoever else had the tyre inflator.
Will the 6ah battery effect how it sits on the ground with it having the battery 'base' or is the inflator designed to accommodate for these too?

Just looking at ordering the tyre inflator and the 6ah battery seems good value for 39.99

It's designed to account for it mate. I used it last time with it and the pump base is lower
