The gf’s car goes back Monday in readiness for her new one. She lives in the sticks so as well as all the dirt and mud (honestly it looked like it was baked on to the paint) it’s also covered in scratches from all the narrow lanes. Wish I’d not volunteered to do it tbf as even after 4 or so hours it still looks shite in some places. Probably would have looked good enough after taking it to the £5 wash. Still, she’s happy and should be good enough to avoid any fees.

Looks alright from this angle 😂

Finished of my new daily driver this week - 3 wheels needed diamond cutting which I have done at GoTints in Huddersfield.

£180 and I can say they really come back looking like a new wheel ( inside and out ) - also treated it to some new black plastic wheel bolt caps

Then I got the buffer out for a full buff all over -

In reference to my post above, I must say I have a new level of respect for guys that work on “every day” cars as part of their job/business.
It’s been a so many years now since I cleaned a car that hasn’t had some type of regular care, and I’d forgotten how hard it was. Her car is only 3 years and it was properly tough going by hand. Maybe some power tools would have helped, but still…

I’m with you on the respect thing Nick - as it’s really F…..king hard work especially when you’re over 50.

100%

I recently did a nice Volvo which hadn’t been cleaned on the inside for 3 years since it was new. f**k me it was diabolical. Interior alone took almost 2 hours

£180 per wheel I assume, otherwise I may need to re-assess how much I thought it would cost to have my wheels sorted.

No that is for the 3 wheels doing - he is a good friend too.

I only paid £100 to do my Trophy wheels and that was because I pushed the money to him to get the lads there dinner.

Stunning Job too.
