CS@25 ClioSport Airfield Days 2005 - 2007

Back in 2005, @clarkiev6 was able to arrange for a group of members from the south central and south west regions to have access to a disused airfield in Devon for the day.

After a bit of team work to move piles of tyres around to put together a makeshift circuit we were able to run time trials and drag races, with plenty of space for people to make mistakes and just have some fun. The surface was rough, but that kept it interesting, particularly under braking and it didn't matter what you drove, V6, 172 or 1.2, everyone had a shot.

It was such a popular event that we returned several times over the next couple of years and It eventually turned into a mini championship.

I recall someone in a Valver being hard work, no idea who though. I did get quite a haul of engraved tankards from @clarkiev6 though so me and my Cup were doing something right 😁
