How do you fit braided hoses on a 182?

  K20 EG Hatch
I have just bought:
EBC Greenstuff pads all round
Brembo Max Discs for front, originals for rear
Yozzasport braided hoses (his own made up ones as he doesn't do goodridge anymore :s)
4.1 Fluid

Anyway, I am going to fit it all this weekend and am very confident with the discs/pads but the only thing im not very clued up on now is fitting the hoses and bleeding the brakes.

Can anyone shed some light on how I should do it please as I have searched the forum and found you are supposed to do them in the correct order etc...

Is there a guide anywhere?

Many thanks

OK, daft question but how do you bleed?

Refill the bottle with fluid and keep pumping the pedal until it stops bubbling and keep topping up the fluid when it obviously goes down?

Bleeding is a mission generally. Gets a bit messy. Or alternatively get a one man bleeding kit from halfords. You basically stick it on the open nipple and press until pedal goes firm and then close nipple. (it has a small ball bearing in it to stop air being sucked back in). Repeat with the remaining three till done.

spanner on nipple ready
person in the car applys pressure to the pedal
slowly undo the nipple till the peddle goes to the floor then retighten the nipple
lift foot of peddle and do the same again till no more bubbles appear

Should you always replace the fluid when changing discs & pads??

My cars done 20k and im replacing the front discs and pads at the weekend due to them being badly corroded on the inside

Should I replace the fluid???

Not necessary to replace the fluid after every disk/pad change but it wouldn't hurt.

Bleeding brakes on 182/172 is piece of piss!

Pah! ;)

Jack it up on axle stands/trolley jack and get a self-bleed kit from Halfords. Takes about half an hour. Piece of piss!

Can you replace the hoses and disc brakes etc with only the supplied jack, I.e. one corner at a time?

As above where is the bleed nipple, on each individial line, and do your need the whole car off the floor to bleed the brakes.

I.e.

1. Jack up whole car (removing wheels)
2. Drain fluid, (how do you drain the fluid? Where from?)
3. Replace hoses, easy enough.
4. Bleed system (got a one man kit from halfords)

Q - Do you need to bleed each corner whilst the whole car is jacked uo, or can you do fronts and back seperatley?
