Did someone say best 182 exhaust system ever????

I'm pretty sick of people having a go at this FMP dude for going to all of this effort of getting an exhaust with proper R&D behind it.

Completely agree!

It is made and designed by a reputable exhaust company and 600£ isnt that much. In fact its a very very good price.

FMP, good luck with the business I hope it all goes well.

Both matt and joe at shed motorsport are great lads and joe especially knows his stuff regarding exhausts so would recommend them all day long. Had my exhaust fitted for just over 2 weeks now and the mid range has improved substantially and the 5k is still there when you hit cam. The exhaust is a perfect fit with no modifications needed to fit it and the quality is superb. After going in dan page's 182 with the prospeed you could tell the difference from standard, standard feeling faster!!!!

Here are some pictures of the exhaust on my car:

LOL at Bhp gains! There's very little...Emphasis on 'Very' in it between Mine and stoddie's car and his is runnin 20bhp more!

On An RS it's all about the note! And fit imo.

But good luck to you!

for the track enthusiasts this sounds like a quality exhaust!

for the likes of me tho i cant justify spending a years insurance on an exhaust for the sake of 1 or 2 brake over my prospeed (thats me being a soft lad lol)

Certainly sounds very nice.
Not too over the top @ all imo.

Just interested in a before & after RR result on the same car on the same day now

i might put my cat back on before the weekend and get mine rr'd and then put my decat and btb on and see what the gains are, just i will be spending £50 then on RR :s

Maybe speak to the guys @ Shed Motorsport & see if they'd help with the cost?

If the increase is proven it will be a great bit of advertising for them imo.

^Shame alan didn't have the time to get his done before and after. But if we judge it on the std 179Bhp thats a safe bet!

thanks for those giving positive comments.

as with everything in life you cant please every one.

whilst the system does add a few bhp, the increased mid range torque is where it really shines. and as anyone that knows engine, torque across the rev range is worth more than top end bhp.

i will dig out our rolling road figures, which we did with cat back on, as we have taken the time and money to test our system.

Excellent news my man!!!;)

Look forward to seeing the graphs

having seen & heard it at goodwood its a top system, the vid doesnt do it justice, its not loud at all, just enough above standard, and has been said proven gains which with other engine mods be very beneficial.

TBR One is cheaper and more effective for the money.*

Im not impressed.

*The TBR exhaust is a one off and wont be sold, so i suppose this is the next best thing

now make one for my cup  ;)

We need to find another high quality exhaust manufacturer for the 172 system (i have a couple in mind) as BTB aren't keen to produce a 172 system due to previous experience they've had with them on the Palmersport clios (problems with noise, they overcame the problem but it results in a very expensive system).

I will approach them again at some point though, just to check that they weren't having a bad day at the time. We'll start properly looking into 172 systems once we have found homes for the first batch of 182 systems.

The sportscat is (almost) as good as a decat. I mailed Orbisoud to buy an extension for the 2nd lambdasensor as they use in their streetsystem. They told me I didn't need it for the racesystem, because the sportscat is as good as empty

You won't like it when: You want blingbling tailpipes and you want everytime the same nice sound. The sound can be different tomorrow than it is today.

You will like it when: you want a good exhaust and you want an exhaust with less weight. This one is only 13.85 kg.

When you have to buy this straight from Renault Sport, price is +- 845£ complete. I bought it new for 560£. The person who sold to me, also wins a lot of money on this exhaust, so if I could buy this straight from the comission agent, price is maybe 430£. This comission agent also takes his profit on the exhaust. Now how much does Renault pays for this system? Now idea, but I think they buy it very cheap

Want the Orbisoud for mine aswell but know the Management light being on will piss me off. Cat back one and I would buy one tommorrow.

emission light is not on in my 182. I taped the sensor under the car. No need to decat. Their road system has a 200 cel cat (and not 100 as some people claim). This one is less than 50. Original 182 cat is 400.
They only made a catreplacement because a catreplacement became obligated in Belgian, French and some other Clio Cups. For the Netherlands they had a less loud version

50 000 miles. Is still in splendid condition. Is also stainless steel.
At idle it's just a Viper that's shaking under your ass. It's too nice to be true :)
