New tyres for a 182 Cup

  133/225/CLS AMG
Noticed at the weekend that the missus two front tyres will need replacing in then next couple of weeks. Couple of questions though....

Its only done 12k, she doesn't drive it hard I sometimes have a 'spirited drive' but never light the front tyres up or rag it etc. Is 12k about right for a 182 Cup????

Also is it worth replacing the standard Continentals or are there others that are recommended??

And finally, anyone know a good place to buy from.

Thanks to you!! :D :D

Standard tyres are Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's on a 182 Cup not contis.

I have PE2's on my 172 but didn't think they were as good as everyone made out. Going to try some goodyears next.

And I would say 12k is about average. I finished off the OEM conti's in about 8k lol.

my contis are still going strong on my 172 cup ...... bit i'd recommend the pe2's , which will be my next set after the conti's

I got pe2's on mine. I've done 14.5k in mine now, and the tyres are still fine. Costco do them for quite cheap I think.

Like Laingo says . Michelins are standard on the 182 , contis on the 172 . The contis on my old 172 lasted 7500 miles on the front . The michelins on my 182 need replacing now and they done just over 8000 miles , lol .

I'd rather have a tyre that lasts 8000 miles and sticks to the road well in all weather conditions than a tyre thats much cheaper and lasts twice as long .

Nice one guys and yes I got the tyres wrong haha.

Michelins for her 182 at the moment, so people reckon that the standard tyres are worth getting again??

She's just flapping coz they're kinda pricy. I did explain that if you buy a car like that you have to pay to maintain it, but you know women haha. ;)
