I reckon change gear at about 6200rpm just after maximum BHP has been achieved. Any pics of your Gtec? How much it set you back?

id be careful hitting the limiter in 1st gear, cuz that gear is vunerable under stress and over time "could" result in damage to the gearbox.

Cant give any acceleration tips cuz im a rubbish driver and drive like a granny

start in 3rd with loads of revs, just slip the clutch all the way until engine speed and road speed match.

you'll save whole seconds in gearchanges, just ignore the smell and smoke, it means you're doing it correctly.

I found out that if you have reach 45mph and switch to reverse, the ECU gets reconfigured somehow and now your standard 172/182 has a 9000rpm redline. 6 seconds flat to 60 :star:

no word of a lie.

ask Tom, he's pioneering a single ratio 'box to take advantage of this technique.

iirc he's selling it alongside the race-spec dashboards.

Actually you have the discription confused.
Our system is built for 1/4 milers and is actually direct drive.

There is no box as such only the diff is retained.
